In 2007, Mark founded Benchmark Custom Homes to channel his deep expertise into building extraordinarily fine custom homes on a personal, client-focused level. Launching during one of the most challenging economic downturns in recent history, the company not only endured but flourished, delivering millions of dollars in high-end custom residences, thoughtful residential renovations, and select commercial projects across Central Texas. His passion for craftsmanship and dedication to exceeding expectations have built a reputation for homes that stand the test of time in both design and durability.
Mark is a member of the Home Builder Association (HBA) and Austin Board of Realtor being a licensed real estate broker (ABOR).
Amir Alkusari first joined the business after graduating from Texas State University in Fall 2018 with a Bachelor's degree in Construction Science and Management, Amir transitioned to full-time work as Project Manager. In his role, Amir oversees project execution from planning through completion, ensuring seamless coordination, adherence to timelines, and implementation of the latest industry best practices and building methods. His formal training in construction science complements the company's engineering-driven foundation, allowing him to integrate innovative techniques, efficient processes, and sustainable approaches while upholding the high standards set by his father, Mark. Together amir and mark continue the family tradition of delivering custom homes that combine timeless quality with contemporary excellence—turning client visions into exceptional, lasting realities.
